Stoutly-bred filly from a highly respected yard, she is a half-sister to winners between 7f up to 2m on the Flat. Has already shaped as if a longer trip is required and looks more of a long-term prospect. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this.

Finished last of eight on debut at Lingfield - was soon outpaced and never landed a competitive blow on that occasion. Probably safe to look elsewhere in search of the winner.

Stablemate of Astromerry and represents the same ownership. Bred to get a mile plus, so the trip is fine but the yard's form not quite what it can be just now and others make more appeal.

Cost 200,000 gns, the filly is a full sister to Group 1 winner Johannes Vermeer and Elizabeth Browning (successful at Group 2 level). Stable ticking over very nicely just now and this looks a very feasible opening for the daughter of Galileo.

Cost 47,000 gns and related to several winners both in the UK and the States; posted a fair effort over 7f on debut and created the impression 1m will suit. Should have derived plenty of benefit from the experience and sets the standard just now.

Verdict

Much depends on how readily Sapa Inca can adapt racing over what may possibly be her minimum trip judging by her pedigree. Mark Johnston's representative does have an eye-catching profile, and given that she's easily the most expensive purchase in the lineup, she has to be merit plenty of respect. However, TOFFEE GALORE has the valuable edge in terms of experience and, as she's expected to be suited by an extra furlong, she just edges the nomination as the one to be with this time up. Sweet Jemima never got into things after being bumped at the start on her debut but did start to show promise near the finish. She appeals as the best of the rest at this stage.
  1. Toffee Galore
  2. Sapa Inca
  3. Sweet Jemima
