Never travelling well in a slowly run race when sent of favourite on return. Clearly thought capable of better but best run so far came on soft ground and isn't convincing.

Sole win came on soft ground last year and has been well beaten in two starts this campaign. Best watched on AW debut.

Formerly trained by Richard Fahey she has just had three starts for her current stable but has taken a step forward the last twice including a breakthrough success. Got the run of the race but is progressing and could overcome 5lb rise.

Sent off favourite on her last three starts including a Windsor win. Ran in snatches last time off this revised mark and looked like headgear may be required if she's to progress again.

On a career high mark following a clear win two starts back at Southwell before being well beaten back on turf. Stable in good form but might be better suited by the fibresand.

Seven-race maiden who has shaped as though a race of this nature should be within her capabilities. Kept on last twice over shorter that suggested this step up in trip may help and should be competitive.

Just one win from 25 starts but was in form for Mick Hammond earlier in the year. However well held in two starts for new yard and others preferred.

Looked flattered when third two starts back and has been well beaten in all her other starts. Looks up against it again.

Showed a decent attitude when under pressure a long way out at Lingfield and this extra trip should bring further improvement. Lightly-raced and looks the one to beat.

Forecasts

Cross My Mind (7/4), Special Mission (2/1), Peace Prevails (4/1), Chantresse (7/1), Mod (25/1), Sevilla (40/1), Dream Serenade (40/1), Decima (50/1), Echo Beat (80/1)

Verdict

With the yard in typically good form at this time of year SPECIAL MISSION looks the usual type for her trainer to progress as she moves up in trip and has much more upside than most of her rivals. Should she fail to run to her potential then Peace Prevails looks the main danger as she is also moving in the right direction. Like the selection Chantresse has shaped as though she needs this stiffer test of stamina to break her maiden tag.
  1. Special Mission
  2. Peace Prevails
  3. Chantresse
