Was a market drifter before obliging at 12-1 on debut at Windsor (6f, good to firm) in June. Penalised for that now, but it was a very promising effort and there is surely more to come. Claims.
€14,500 yearling, 32,000gns two-year-old. Half-brother to winners Sandbetweenourtoes (5f-6¾f) and Doricemay (7f). Dam last in 7f/1m maidens at two, half-sister to 1m Group 3 winner Adagio. Market check advised on debut.
Has shown a bit of promise in both starts so far, but it would have been nice to see some improvement from first run to second, when stepped up to 7f. Drops to this stiff 6f, which could suit, and is far from written off.
100-1 and beaten 8L at Redcar on debut. Can only watch.
£2,200 yearling. Half-brother to 5f-5½f winner Soie De L'Eau. Dam unraced half-sister to prolific 5f-6f winner Crosse Fire and granddaughter of 6f at two winner/French 1,000 Guineas fourth Dances With Dreams. Probably one to watch on debut.
20-1 drifter who finished 10½L fifth of 10 on debut at Haydock (6f, good to firm) last month, when never really getting competitive. Should improve for the run, and an eye on the market might be worthwhile this time.
Stepped up on a promising Redcar debut with a better effort when switched to Tapeta at Newcastle last month, finishing 3L second. Similar improvement should put him right in the mix here.
Beaten just a head at York (5f) on debut. Not quite as good on AW last time, but back on turf and upped in trip, he is still open to better. Bit to prove, but it would be no surprise to see him go close.
Well beaten in both starts so far and will be one to watch on this occasion with nurseries in mind.
Forecasts
Ventura Ocean (11/8), Watchmyeverymove (5/2), Bugler Bob (7/1), Swiss Connection (8/1), Rich Approach (10/1), Coolagh Magic (12/1), Aghast (33/1), Ey Up Its Mick (33/1), Dragons Will Rise (66/1)
Watchmyeverymove and Swiss Connection both look capable of going close here, but preference is for VENTURA OCEAN, who could come good now back on turf and over this trip.
