Landed a gamble at Hamilton and a 6lb rise seems more than fair given she won more cosily than the margins suggest. Same rider on board and the one to beat despite topweight.
Ordinary looking 19-race maiden who has gone up 3lb having been comprehensively beaten last time. Talented claimer helps but other make more appeal. Formerly with Iain Jardine.
Only turf victory came in 2015 and he seems much happier on Tapeta. His form has been in and out for a while and a visor is tried this time.
Scored here last year over a mile and has gone close on two recent C&D starts, the latest in much stronger company. On a competitive mark with a good claimer on board.
Has gone three years without a win but went agonisingly close on second start for this yard last week. Up 2lb but could defy that over this longer trip.
Not a resolute performer and one who has long been known for his flatter only to deceive effortss. Looks to have rather gone off the boil in his last three starts though
Some positives in novices contests, though well held on handicap bow at Hamilton (1m½f, good to firm). By Sulamani out of a Cesarewitch runner-up so this longer trip may help.
Scored here last year over 6f but has been unplaced on all starts since. Tries blinkers and a new trip with hopes pinned on emulating his dam who stayed this far.
18-race maiden had some form in 2017 when conditions were testing but she has scarcely beaten a rival this year.
Reluctant sort who despite often travelling well through his races often finds little when asked for his effort. Record stands at 1-40 and so will take some finessing to win this; not to be trusted.
Not at his best lately but he has not had the ideal combination of weight/going/trip. Has everything in his favour this time and he should make the frame.
18-race maiden has only made the frame once. Has finished ahead of just one rival on all three starts in 2018 so hard to fancy on that evidence.
€40,000 breeze-up purchase in 2017 and related to a couple of winners. Has shown little thus far but makes her handicap debut following wind surgery and with a top jockey on board. Worth a market check.
Forecasts
Ana Lichious (15/8), Colour Contrast (13/2), Rosemay (8/1), New Abbey Angel (9/1), Remember Rocky (10/1), Archipeligo (10/1), Pindaric (10/1), John Caesar (14/1), Doon Star (22/1), Jackontherocks (22/1), Warfare (25/1), New York Lady (33/1), Eyreborn (33/1)
New York Lady is a proverbial dark horse who has done nothing so far but is bred to do much better and she needs to be monitored for a market move on her first start since wind surgery. John Caesar, Warfare and Remember Rocky are experienced performers who are capable of delivering off their current marks, but New Abbey Angel does not relish a battle and he may be required to do so in an open looking affair. ANA LICHIOUS landed a gamble with a fair bit up her sleeve and the same rider retains the mount. She won four races in France and has form off higher marks than this revised rating so clearly should have more to offer.
- Ana Lichious
- John Caesar
- Remember Rocky
