Has been improving this season since racing in blinkers, winning at Thirsk in June and Ayr (1m, good, eased down by 3½L) last time. Has taken a hike in the weights for that win, but hard to argue it's not deserved.
Won a C&D maiden for William Haggas last spring, and got right back to his best when second to Winged Spur here last time (Mikmak third). Likely to play a major role again.
Cost the princely sum of 320,000gns as a juvenile, but has only a 7f Catterick maiden win against his name. Several solid efforts on paper this season, but often looks half-hearted, and percentage call is to oppose him again.
Off the mark in comfortable fashion over this trip at Brighton last month in a weak novice event, and too free to stay further at Wolverhampton on handicap debut. Hood should help in that regard, but others preferred.
Form of debut second to Kinaesthesia at Nottingham in November has taken a few knocks, but he shaped quite well when second to Snow Wind over C&D last month, and may pull out more now handicapping.
Both wins have come over 7f at Newcastle, and he's been a bit disappointing on turf of late. Now tries cheekpieces and steps up in trip, but has questions to answer.
Mikmak will go close after winning with something in hand at Thirsk on Saturday, but preference id for TIGHT LINES, who will appreciate going right handed again after hanging that way at York, and may still be improving. Daawy and Racemaker come here on the back of solid runs, and should also have something to say about the result.
