Showed very little over C&D on debut finishing last although did manage to reverse placings with Lady Flyte from that race next time out at Thirsk over 5f. Still looked to need the run and but showed ability; one for handicaps more realistically.

Consistent efforts in maiden and novice company before she hit a handicap last time out but didn't really look to be progressing and was soundly beaten over 7f. Looks as though this drop to 6f will suit back in novices' in a very weak race.

Shaped well on her debut against a more experienced stablemate and it may well have been that know-how that tipped the scales against her. Still showed some potential last time switched to the AW; returns from a wind op as the only danger.

Would need to take a major step forward to take this and on the evidence of her two runs so far that isn't likely to happen. Offered very little on both her starts and now returns to 6f having tried 5f last time.

Forecast

Angel's Glory (4/11), Grise Lightning (5/2), Jeffrey Harris (20/1), Lady Flyte (33/1)

Verdict

The effort that ANGEL’S GLORY put in last time on her handicap debut casts doubts about her ability to take this and has to be forgiven but the rest of her form is of a higher standard than anything else the other trio can offer. Grise Lightning has shown that she is good enough to win a weak novice like this on the evidence of her two runs and a recent wind op may bring about some more improvement. The score between Jeffrey Harris and Lady Flyte stands at 1-1 but that’s likely to be a sideshow here with the former taken to confirm the form for the minor and likely to be distant third place.
