Joined current yard after landing a Dundalk claimer. Extended his turf record to 0-18 in midweek, but he was third off 3lb higher on his last AW run in this grade three months ago.
Lightly raced over the past year and appeared to be coming to hand on penultimate start in February. Reappeared at Kempton last month when doing little, but he usually runs well here and he is down to an attractive mark. Worth a market check.
Strong puller who was not an ideal mount for his amateur last time. Has moved yards since and cheekpieces tried now. Regular rider back on board.
Showed a bit more on handicap debut in October and looked the type to do better over this trip. An absence since raises concerns.
Did not look straightforward despite an improved display in blinkers last time. Has moved yards since and the aids are removed, but Jim Crowley now replaces a claimer.
Improved effort in cheekpieces last time in a similarly weak race over C&D. As a 23-race maiden there are no guarantees she will build on that.
Beaten by wide margins on each run and she faces a huge task from out of the weights and after a four month break.
Beaten by wide margins at big prices on his last four starts on the Flat and over hurdles. Looks easy to oppose.
Failed to stay 1m6f last time but there were some promising signs in her previous start and she is in a very weak race here.
Harbour Watch filly, hasn't shown anything in five starts. Up in trip and only a market move would merit consideration.
Forecasts
Spring Praise (6/4), Ronni Layne (4/1), Carvelas (9/2), Roof Garden (8/1), Wallflower (10/1), Makhfar (12/1), The Jungle Vip (16/1), Sunovarebel (16/1), Millie May (33/1), Captivating Light (33/1)
It is hard to be convinced by any in this and a speculative wager is suggested on MAKHFAR. He is an infrequent visitor here but has generally given a good account on those forays and his penultimate start would give him every chance at this level. He had been off the track several months prior to his last run and the booking of a strong rider signals intent. Wallflower and Roof Garden are less exposed than their rivals so would not have to find much to be contenders, whislt Carvelas is back on his favoured surface in a grade where he would be expected to make a bold bid. Spring Praise looks unreliable but a change of scenery and strong handling may inspire.
- Makhfar
- Carvelas
- Spring Praise
