Landed a three-runner race last week and is up 3lb for that. New trip has to be a worry being by Farrh, but hard to query the trainer after the season he has had.
Did best of those held up when running below expectations at Doncaster. In good form prior to that and stable continue to fire in the winners, but hard to say he is as well-handicapped as others in this.
One time Derby entry who made use of his stamina to score at Leicester and not disgraced in a hot race last time. Jim Crowley retains the mount and he now tackles an extra 2f.
Sister to some smart stayers including Shantaram and Forever Now. Split two subsequent winners at Haydock before disposing of inferior rivals over C&D. Yet to achieve anything worthy of this mark, but the pedigree suggests the potential is there.
Well placed by her trainer to pick up three races this summer including a match last week. Facing her sternest test to date here and looks the yard's number two judged on jockey bookings.
Has been unlucky to bump into improving sorts and deserves a change of luck. Runs to a consistent level and one that gives him every chance in this, but could again be vulnerable to a more progressive type.
Continued her progress when landing a minor race at Wolverhampton. Promises to stay this far but up significantly in grade.
Forecasts
Mekong (3/1), Rude Awakening (3/1), Elegiac (3/1), Sacred Path (9/2), King Lud (7/1), Zilara (12/1), Bayshore Freeway (28/1)
It is reasonable to assume King Lud will be on the premises again, whilst the Mark Johnston bandwagon is doubly represented by recent winners Elegiac and Bayshore Freeway. Rude Awakening should get a more honest gallop than last time but this looks set to fought out between Mekong and SACRED PATH. The former was runner-up in a hot race run in a quick time at Salisbury under today's rider and has further victories in him. On this occasion he may have to give second best to the Gosden filly who won a small maiden last time, a ploy the trainer used with her relatives Forever Now and To Eternity before they went on to better things.
- Sacred Path
- Mekong
- King Lud
