Won Bangor maiden hurdle in May then followed up with two wins on Flat before being outclassed at Royal Ascot. Has to concede his winner's penalty but remains a serious contender.
Five Flat wins at up to a mile but has been on the downgrade in that sphere for some time. Showed little aptitude for hurdling on recent debut and hard to see him getting into this argument.
Four wins on Flat at up t 1m4f so should stay, but hasn't been seen since finishing a fair third here on second hurdles attempt back in November 2016. Makes debut for new yard and likely to be better for the outing after such a layoff.
Ex-Irish gelding won Sligo 1m2f maiden in 2016. Made favourite on hurdles bow and first start for new connections when runner-up at Perth last month and there could be more to come. Should be thereabouts.
Runner-up on seven of last nine starts but finally got her head in front in minor event at Worcester last time. This is tougher, but has discovered winning habit and is respected for stable going great guns at present.
Won Irish point to point and makes Rules debut now for classy yard. Market should indicate what is expected but is no forlorn hope.
10-race Flat maiden whose best efforts have come between 1m2f-1m4f. Rated up to 77 on level so might have a future at this game and worth a market check for any sign of confidence on hurdles debut.
18-race maiden under both codes, but did run surprisingly well when 66/1 third to Fort Jefferson here on penultimate start. 4lb better now for less then four lengths and wears first-time cheekpieces, but consistency not his strong suit.
Winning point to pointer who has struggled in two starts under Rules since joining current yard. Too early to write this youngster off but needs to start getting his act together.
Forecasts
Passing Call (10/11), Fort Jefferson (3/1), My Brother (4/1), Val Mome (9/1), Invincible Wish (20/1), D'waterside (25/1), Noah And The Ark (33/1), Bounderby (66/1), Captain Revelation (200/1)
MY BROTHER ran pretty well on his first start in Britian and with that outing under his belt is fancied to make the most of the weight he receives from the penalised Fort Jefferson, who did it nicely over course and distance in May. D'Waterside wasn't far behind that day and has a 4lb pull so cannot be discounted, while Worcester winner Passing Call has more to do this time but is going the right way. The Flat maiden Bounderby wasn't devoid of ability so could also be worth a glance on hurdles debut.
