Promising individual, odds-on winner in four-runner novice chase at Roscommon (2m, good) latest, coming home by 2¾ lengths from Le Martalin. Should have more to offer.
Useful chaser, winner at Wexford last month and should be in the mix. Behind Cadmium earlier in the term at Roscommon.
Career-best when winning novice chase at Newton Abbot 11 days ago. Was odds-on and defeated only two rivals there, more needed now.
Even-money but could finish only fourth of seven at Killarney latest. Stablemate to Cadmium, who appears to have stronger claims.
Failed to beat a rival home in novice event at Punchestown last time and has a big job on here seemingly.
Very decent hurdler, has been operating well on the Flat at times of late, doesn't have form in book to be landing this but has gone well both starts over these obstacles.
Winner at Killarney over similar trip a fortnight ago, producing a career-best effort in doing so. Was game there but this look tougher on paper.
Winner first-time-out over fences at Limerick but didn't always convince with her jumping. Can improve on that if Closutton supremo has brushed up the fencing.
Another contender from the Mullins arsenal but was out of form recently at Killarney and looks up against things on the formbook.
Forecasts
Cadmium (6/5), Robin Des Foret (9/2), Rashaan (6/1), Miss Sapphire (8/1), Ornua (9/1), Le Martalin (10/1), Screaming Rose (20/1), Balbir Du Mathan (33/1), The Last Marju (40/1)
CADMIUM is in fine tune right now and should be able to take this out for last year's winning trainer Willie Mullins. The champion trainer fires a quartet at this target, with Robin Des Foret perhaps the next best of them. Le Martalin is closely matched with the selection and respected while smart hurdler Rashaan has run well in both starts over the larger obstacles and can improve.
- Cadmium
- Le Martalin
- Rashaan
