Gulland Rock and Emily Goldfinch are recent C&D winners who have struggled in subsequent starts. The latter has a good 3lb claimer on board this time to redress the balance, but last week's Newcastle scorer FRANK'S LEGACY makes more appeal. Ivan Furtado's charge scored with plenty in hand and showed enough improvement to suggest he will not be anchored by a penalty. Cool Echo and Herringswell, who chased home a newcomer here last time, were undoubtedly flattered to get as close as they did because the winner was so green. Nevertheless, they look the pick of the rest.
