Only won three times in his career and form can be a bit in and out. Capable on a going day off this sort of mark but generally finds a couple too strong.
Won over C&D off a 4lb lower mark back in May when making all. Couldn't back that up at Cartmel last time and not sure to get an easy time of it up front here either.
Bumper winner here last summer but things have not gone to plan since. This is much easier than the novice event he ran in at Hexham last time and still early days for him over fences.
Tends to be held up for a late run and can be a little flattered at times running passed beaten horses. Others have stronger profiles and may be set for a minor role once again.
Dual point-to-point winner back in April 2017. Returns under rules today on the back of a lengthly absence on first start for leading yard and market check is very much needed with tongue-tie added.
Hard to make a case for him given he hasn't won in 68 starts now under rules. Capable of getting involved on a going day but others preferred for win purposes.
Sent off favourite when dropped in trip at Market Rasen three weeks ago. Jumping was poor there and cheekpieces are now added in an attempt to prompt some improvement.
Back to form off this mark at Market Rasen (2m3f, good) last month. Extra furlong should help here and should go close if able to back that up now.
Winner off 3lb lower at Hexham three starts back. Not so good the last twice but tends to go well for this rider so not totally discounted from the bottom of the weights here.
Forecasts
Crack Of Thunder (1/1), Between The Waters (7/2), Boy's On Tour (13/2), Reverse The Charge (10/1), Rhythm Of Sound (11/1), Quick Brew (14/1), Vino's Choice (20/1), Xpo Universel (33/1), Miss Biscotti (40/1)
Not a strong contest and this shouldn't take much winning. Market support for Crack Of Thunder would probably be significant and should be noted. There is a good chance this will go to one of the two in here that still have room for improvement. That brings in Rhythm Of Sound and VINO'S CHOICE. preference is for the latter who should find this much easier than the novice chase he contested last time and has the most room for improvement.
- Vino's Choice
- Rhythm Of Sound
- Crack Of Thunder
