Fluffed the start when fifth of six over C&D last time, but had previously come from well back to win at Thirsk. Has a bit to do off a 6lb higher mark than for his recent victory and needs to get away a bit smarter this time.
Irish import who has been out of the frame on all five starts for his current stable. Dropping down the handicap, but needs to show more if he is to make the most of it.
Landed a C&D seller by 10L for David O'Meara earlier this month after which he was bought by his current handler. Handicap mark has been left alone, but more is required in this company.
Fair effort on seasonal reappearance at Thirsk, but his last two efforts - the latest in a visor - have been underwhelming. Down another 3lb and connections try a hood on this occasion.
Last win came at Carlisle in September after which he went up in the weights and has generally struggled. Handicap mark is becoming more manageable, but he needs to show more.
Keen racer who ran well to be a close fourth of seven over C&D on her latest start. Not out of it off this mark and can get involved if consenting to settle.
Two runs since joining current yard from Michael Dods' stable have been only fair, but both were over longer trips than today's contest. Still early days for him and he is on a career-low mark.
First run since undergoing wind surgery when down the field at Haydock. May do better this time and the application of blinkers for the first time could make a difference. Well handicapped if they do work.
A stable companion of Ninepin Bowler, she has shown enough to suggest she can win a small race. Has gone close off this mark, but struggled on only visit to this venue.
Off the mark at the eighth attempt when winning a 17-runner Leicester handicap in good style. Up 6lb, but he is on the upgrade and looks the one they all have to worry about.
Three runs in novice company preceded only start in a handicap at Newcastle where he was a respectable fifth of 14. First run since October, however, so not easy to predict.
Forecasts
Kylie Rules (9/2), Beverley Bullet (5/1), Dasheen (11/2), Conflagration (6/1), Make On Madam (8/1), Hitman (9/1), Arctic Treasure (10/1), Heir of Excitement (10/1), Ninepin Bowler (11/1), Major Crispies (16/1), Somewhere Secret (50/1)
Bottom-weight Arctic Treasure should be noted for market support, but this looks good for CONFLAGRATION, who is on an upward curve and can defy a 6lb rise for winning at Leicester last time. Hitman might be a threat if getting away better, while other dangers include Make On Madam , Major Crispies and Heir Of Excitement.
- Conflagration
- Hitman
- Make On Madam
