Maiden who hasn't been disgraced on his outings for this stable turning in his best performance so far last time at Cartmel (2nd to subsequent winner). Rather harshly upped 5lb for that run and has to cope with career-high mark now.
Twice a course winner including over this trip his last win came in a seller over slightly further here when taking a sojourn from chasing. Back over hurdles last time returning from a break (looked rusty); more to be learnt from this run.
C&D winner who comes here attempting to complete a "long-range" hat-trick having won the back in January before scoring here last time under a competent amateur. Runs off a 6lb higher mark here but no reason she should not be competitive.
Makes his stable/handicap debut having had three runs over hurdles in Ireland for his previous yard. Looked a little stretched by the 2m4f he tried last time (better form having come at 2m); interesting especially with the champion jockey booked.
Probably a little better than his bare 0-10 record over hurdles suggests having on several occasions travelled well through races recently. Disappointed last time at Worcester but back over more conventional hurdles he's not written off in this.
Fair hurdler who has had a wind op and although he hasn't shown much since returning from that procedure has dropped below his last winning mark. Not disgraced here last time behind a Skelton hotpot; has won over C&D.
Five-time winner on the Flat he's quickly switched to handicaps over hurdles after two starts having taken 2nd in a Worcester novice last time. Looked inexperienced on that start (took time to warm up) against an easy winner; mark looks quite stiff.
Loves this C&D (won five times over it) and stays a little further turning in a good performance here last time over 2m2f. Had taken advantage of a drop in the weights to score on his penultimate start and this mark may just test him these days.
Front-runner who took advantage of a reduced mark to return to winning form at Plumpton in March but hasn't really built on that of late and quickly beaten last time. Ought to be capable of this mark but a bit more spark necessary than of late.
A hurdles record of 0-14 doesn't inspire despite a few respectable efforts last season although he would have needed his recent comeback run here. Had plenty of chances off marks like this though and passed over.
Capable hurdler a couple of years ago who appears to have rather lost his way although he's become dangerously well handicapped were he to revive (29lb below his last winning mark). Without his usual tongue-tie again; note a market move.

Kohuma (7/2), Tamarillo Grove (9/2), Boychick (9/2), Monday Club (6/1), Treasure The Ridge (6/1), Ormskirk (15/2), Thahab Ifraj (10/1), Uno Mas (16/1), Blushing Red (16/1), Bonobo (20/1), Bulletproof (20/1), Serveontime (25/1), Mr Lando (25/1), Kublai (28/1)
Hardly a high-class event but one that does have a few contestants that may be a little better than they have shown of late. Kohuma looks one of the more solid options having won here last time and should go close to completing her hat-trick while Thahab Ifraj will be a danger if gaining an easy lead having gone with plenty of enthusiasm last time. Monday Club can be given a chance if his last run can be forgiven while Tamarillo Grove should never be ignored over a C&D where he’s won five times. The booking of Richard Johnson for the handicap newcomer from the Christian Williams yard UNO MAS is eye-catching though and it will be interesting to see what the market makes of him.
- Uno Mas
- Kohuma
- Thahab Ifraj
