Tried her hand in a point-to-point in May before two starts on the Flat, both of which show she has a little ability but will be better off in handicaps after tonight. Best watched.
Half-sister to Cross Counter, recent Ascot winner (over 1m4f), has shown more than enough in two starts to think she's up to winning a race such as this but may want further in time. Sets the standard though, and conditions fine.
Showed little first two starts but took a big step forward at Newmarket last time, finishing a close third to one that went on to take a Listed contest next time. Wouldn't need much more than that to be a major player here.
Nicely bred (plenty of winners on dam's side) but didn't show an awful lot on debut at Newbury, and given that was over a year ago and he's not been seen since, it suggests there's been issues. Best watched until showing a bit more.
Beaten favourite on debut at Haydock but ran well, so disappointing he couldn't build on that back there last time (softer conditions a possible excuse). Now needs this for a handicap mark and on that, others make more appeal.
Forecasts
Right Direction (8/11), Bawaasil (9/4), Bhodi (13/2), Diamond Set (16/1), Procida (100/1)
BAWAASIL ran the useful Naval Intelligence to a length at Newmarket last time out and that form has worked out well, with the latter winning the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Stakes next time out. He should improve again and gets the vote over Right Direction and Diamond Set.
