Price increased significantly from foal to yearling, half-brother to a sprint winner in Italy and dam related to numerous Italian winners too. Yard have an 11% strike rate with their 2yos here and can line them up first time, so needs a market check
Cost 15,000gns at Tatts October Book 2 sales last October, half brother to 1m winner Cloudy Miss and also to middle distance winners. Likely to want a bit further and yard tend to let theirs find their feet as they go, so others more likely today.
Nicely bred, dam a French winner over 10f and is closely related to other winners over middle distances. Will want further but trainer is 4-12 with his 2yos here last five years and on that alone, is deserving of plenty of respect.
Not cheap at 155,000gns at Tatts Book 1 sales last October, bred for sprint distances and is a half brother to the top-class The Tin Man. Yard not known for first time up 2yo winners and are just 1-18 here last five years with 2yos, but of interest.
First foal, dam a winner at 1m and pedigree suggests he may want that trip (and a bit further in time). Yard rarely have a winner in 2yo races and on that, is best watched today.
Half brother to the yard's very useful sprinter Mayfair Lady, who was twice a winner as a 2yo, and he's bred to be sharp. Yard can ready them first time but have just a 10% strike rate with their 2yos here, so others make a little more appeal.
€90,000 purchase form Arqana May Breeze-Ups this year, thrown in a bit at the deep end on two starts and was far from disgraced in the G2 Coventry Stakes last time in finishing midfield. This is easier and he sets a decent enough standard.
Bought for 35,000gns at the Breeze-Ups this April, dirt pedigree so every chance he will appreciate the quick ground and bred for speed. Yard have had a decent season with their 2yos and this one warrants a second look if there's market support.
Price decreased markedly from yearling to 2yo, but still cost 25,000gns at the Breeze-Ups in April. Pedigree suggests he's likely to find this a bit on the sharp side and yard 0-8 with their 2yos here last five years. Others make more appeal.
Half brother to middle distance winners (one of whom was also successful at 3m over hurdles), last of six on debut here on debut and simply looks to need more time.
Cheap purchase at just 1,000gns as a yearling, half brother to a couple of winners (10f-13f) and although yard have a good record with their 2yos here (17% strike rate), this one is only of interest if there's any market support.
Half brother to the speedy Four Dragons, who did win as a 2yo (on fifth start) and he showed the benefit of a previous run when doing much better at Wolverhampton last time, finishing second. Looks to be going the right way and not discounted.
Forecasts
Gentle Look (7/4), Kensington Art (4/1), Swissterious (5/1), Summer Moon (11/2), Midnight Sands (10/1), Big Baby Bull (16/1), Global Warning (25/1), Rockshore (25/1), Old Red Eyes (33/1), John Clare (50/1), Chiniak (66/1), Russian Rum (80/1)
Global Warning is worth watching with a view to the future but might need this experience, and preference in a tricky little contest is for GENTLE LOOK, who could well be sharp enough to win this tonight and with his trainer having a good record with his 2yos at the track, that only increases confidence. Midnight Sands will find this much easier than the Coventry and has to be respected with experience on his side. Big Baby Bull and Swissterious both need a market check.
