Half-sister to last year's Queen Mary winner and a similarly speedy sort who shaped with copious promise on her debut just lacking the race nous of a rare Henry Candy debut winner. Finished clear of the rest and sure to come on for that outing.

Very much on a learning curve and that's not unusual for juveniles from this stable with her second run not really showing that much progress from her debut. Looks more of a longer-term project but may be one for handicaps once she has a mark.

Not showing anything like the Gold-medal winning form of her namesake having had two runs so far in which she's shown little. Will get a mark after this and may well be able to show more in time but of little interest here.

Offered something to work on from her debut and didn't run badly at Nottingham considering her yard usually bring along their juveniles with patience. Likely to show a bit more this time but hard task to trouble the market leader.

Bungle Inthejungle filly out of a maiden who was best at 5f. Half-sister to 5f winner Liquid (by Zoffany). From a yard in decent form of late but hardly prolific with debutante juveniles and she best watched unless there is some market support.

Failed to find any friends in the market on debut (same ownership as well-backed winner) but still shaped nicely in the race showing plenty for the future. Race is working out well with the winner (Ginger Nut) taking a valuable race at the weekend.

Newcomer by Bated Breath who is related to some useful sorts including 1m winner Crucial Moment and 7f winner Zap. Dam (maiden) but a half-sister to high-class winner at up to 1m2f Medicean; market to prove a useful guide.

Forecasts

Heartwarming (2/11), Symphony (6/1), Lucky Charm (14/1), Winter Light (20/1), Lajeen (25/1), Messua (33/1), Laura Kenny (100/1)

Verdict

This really ought to go the way of HEARTWARMING whose debut over C&D was a taking one and promised plenty for the future, she looks sure to have learnt and come on for that run. She may not have things all her own way though as Symphony will provide her with a test after being friendless in the market at Windsor (finished 4th) to three useful sorts two of which have won since in better company. There are only two newcomers but both can be given a second glance on pedigree with Winter Light looking the more interesting of the duo and the market should be used as a guide to her chance. Most of the others will be seen in a better light in nurseries with Lucky Charm the best of the rest.
  1. Heartwarming
  2. Symphony
  3. Winter Light
