Already gelded son of Dick Turpin that was a cheap purchase at just £4,000 as a yearling. Taken quite a long time to get to the track so possibly had some issues and market will be the best guide.
13-race maiden and very little to shout about in those runs. Been off the track for a very long time and has had wind surgery. Best watched for now.
Choisir half-brother to 6f winner Ajwad. Sent off a big price, but shaped really well when third to stablemate Red Starlight at Newmarket recently. This appears easier, and he has leading claims.
Iffraaj gelding that cost £6,500 at the Ascot sales in November. Dam was a fair sprinter so there is some promise on paper. Market check needed on debut.
Caught the eye on debut when hampered and noted staying on hard under a considerate ride. Two disappointing efforts over this trip the last twice and the type to do better once handicapping.
Son of Dubawi who's dam was a smart performer over sprint trips. Lots to like on paper and is an interesting newcomer to note. Market should be a very good guide to expectations. Likely player
Daughter of Avonbridge. Dam is a winning sprinter including at Listed level. She is a half-sister to plenty of winners including The Tatling. Interesting to see what the market makes of her on debut.
Her sole start last year came with bags of promise when just failing to get up at Lingfield (6f, AW). Off the track for a long time but clearly has ability and this step up in trip looks a good move.
Made her debut in one of the divisions of last years Brocklesby. Shaped on both starts like this step up in trip will suit. Has been off the track for 15 months so fitness must be taken on trust. Looks stable second string.
Forecasts
Anchises (1/2), Montshi (7/2), Carricklane (11/2), Greaves (12/1), Hellovaqueen (20/1), Forgotten Promises (25/1), Croeso Cymraeg (25/1), Bridgefullofdreams (50/1), Ignight (100/1)
ANCHISES shaped with plenty of potential on debut in a better race than this at Newmarket and can get off the mark at the second time of asking. Montshi has a lovely pedigree so any market move for him could be significant. The Richard Hughes pair of Carricklane and Hellovaqueen both have potential to do better.
- Anchises
- Montshi
- Carricklane
