Formerly with James Moffatt he's shown little since going to his current yard over fences and was well beaten over the larger obstacles here last time. Now back over hurdles (off a higher mark) and in a new headgear combination; others appeal more.
Back to form from out of the blue last time at Uttoxeter over 2m4f having been given plenty to do but finding well from pressure. Not the most consistent and off a 3lb higher mark (tongue-tied first-time) not certain to follow-up; course winner.
Returns to handicaps having shown very little progress from her debut last time out here in a 2m1f novice hurdle. Looked laboured last time but this is a far easier task in handicaps than she's had before (first run in a 0-100); yard rather quiet.
Appeared rejuvenated by the change of yard (trainer doing well with new recruits) when recording a C&D win last time. That was his first win (and form) since 2016; remains to be seen if he can follow-up off a 7lb higher mark (rated higher in past).
Still a maiden and this will be his 7th handicap start with his mark now having stagnated at this level but still at a career-low. Finished 3rd over C&D last time but proved no match for the first two and has work to do with Justatenner the winner.
Well-held in one bumper and a collection of novice hurdles he's looked poor so far although going handicapping may see him in a different light especially up in trip. The booking of the champion jockey takes the eye; note any market support.
Yet to win over hurdles and given his age hardly appeals as a likely improver although he has run respectably in his last two hurdles starts. Faced a stiff task sent chasing here last time and faces a more feasible task here.
Visor goes on for his return to action from a fair absence having attracted support last time in a Sedgefield handicap (failed to get competitive). Dropped quickly from his original mark over hurdles and now on a career-low; needs to show more.
Course regular but has never won here (placed on fair few occasions) and is now with a new yard; makes his first start for them after a lengthy absence. Back over hurdles now (last seen over fences); best watched given his overall record/absence.
Was a fair hurdler at his best when with Gordon Elliott but has totally lost his way of late and it's hard to find any evidence to make him worth supporting here.
Quirky sort who showed some modest but wining form when he was with Sue Smith but hasn't won since late 2016. Hasn't shown any consistency for his new yard and although 4th here last time over further was well beaten in the end.
A long way from repeating her win last year at Worcester off a 1lb lower mark over 2m7f. Now tried in blinkers for the first-time (usually in cheekpieces) but makes little appeal on her recent poor form.
Very little form to her name and stopped very quickly last time at Hexham on her return from a break. Beaten in a seller the time before that and makes limited appeal even in this lowly contest.

Justatenner (15/8), Handy Hollow (4/1), Perseid (9/2), Short Flight (6/1), Big Picture (8/1), Celtic Monarch (10/1), Out For Justice (14/1), News For Pascal (16/1), Amber Flush (22/1), Lapalala (25/1), Sendiym (50/1), Shesthebusiness (50/1), Wolfslair (50/1), Amuse Me (66/1)
Very little quality on display here and it could well be that trainer Tristan Davidson can maintain his 100% record at Cartmel this year with one of his previous winners JUSTATENNER taken to follow-up his win over this trip off a 7lb higher mark. Celtic Monarch is a previous course winner who also won last time but he’s no certainty to be in the same sort of form as he was at Uttoxeter. Big Picture looks to have a sound chance although he does need to prove himself over this trip with Lapalala one who could appreciate an easier task in handicaps. One who could be worth noting in the market is Out For Justice he makes his handicap debut upped in trip and with Richard Johnson booked.
