Nothing of note in a couple of dismal displays this season over hurdles. Trainers Fergal O'Brien and Gordon Elliott have failed to get a win out of the gelding and this looks a stiff task on chasing bow.
Plenty against the four-race maiden here over the larger obstacles and others appear to be progressing at a quicker rate.
Distance winner who was a beaten favourite in a Roscommon handicap hurdle earlier this month. Now returned to chasing and has a lot to prove given the gelding has failed to finish three of his last four starts over the larger obstacles.
May well struggle on the ground here and first time cheekpieces doubtful to bring about the required amount of progress needed to play a role here.
Hints of promise in a number of chase starts last summer including when finishing third of 16 in this race 12-months ago. Market should be informative.
Seven-race modest 103-rated maiden hurdler well held on three starts this term. Best watched on chasing debut for leading connections.
Eight-race maiden who is without a win in five starts over hurdles. Pace claims on chasing debut on second start for the yard with conditions to suit.
Well beaten and never a factor in three starts over hurdles this season. Unlikely to play a part in the finish on chasing bow.
Looks to have quite a reputation sent off favourite on chasing debut in a Downpatrick contest over 2m3½f eventually finishing second of 14 before being well held in a similar contest at Tramore last month. Hard to place any faith in.
Two point-to-point wins from 15 starts but well held in a number of below-par hurdles since the turn of the year. Liable to find a couple stronger.
Forecasts
Statistical (3/1), Mister Butler (7/2), Ri An Rian (4/1), Sam King (4/1), Killasser Boy (10/1), Just A Normal Day (12/1), Touchy (25/1), Rudy Catrail (25/1), Railway Muice (25/1), Galveston (33/1)
SAM KING showed plenty of promise this time 12-months ago and should have the measure of the majority of modest opposition here to see off the possible attentions of the Henry De Bromhead-trained Statistical and Downpatrick second of 14, Ri An Rian who is better than his disappointing display at Tramore last month.
