Allan Atkinson Memorial Handicap Hurdle

Went close in Fontwell bumper last August and ran well enough when third on hurdles bow at Ffos Las. Likely type to improve now going up in trip for handicap debut and has solid claims.

Won over this C&D in a novice event last year. Been busy on the flat of late without going close and blinkers go on for the first time on this switch back to hurdles.

Every chance he would have gone close to winning at Southwell on his last hurdles start but for falling two out. Had a spin on the flat since and returns to hurdles off the same mark so is very much respected.

Ran well on handicap debut at Aintree (2m4f, good) last month when fading late on. This slight drop in trip should suit and certainly has scope off this sort of mark given his flat ability.

Form of his three efforts in maiden hurdles can only be described as fair. Potential improver now switching to handicaps. Another that is on a good mark considering his flat ability.

Seemed to improve for the blinkers at Towcester two starts back when finishing a close second. Not as good next time at Southwell and needs to find more going up in trip.

Been running very consistently since joining this yard and rewarded with a battling success over C&D last month. Only up 3lb but that is negated by rider being able to claim full 7lb this time so should be in the shake up once again.

Twice a winner when with Brian Ellison he has hinted the last twice that his turn may not be fair away as he continues to slide down the weights. Dangerous to dismiss, especially if the money comes.

Has raced a little freely over hurdles but certainly has shown some glimmers of ability so far. Start life for a new yard today and makes handicap debut so interesting to see what the market makes of him.
