Five wins so far all coming over 1m3f and beyond so this drop back in trip is a slight concern on first start for very nearly a year. One of the principals on official figures and is very much respected at this level.
Runner-up in claimer here over 7f on penultimate start but hasn't really looked to be crying out for this step up in trip. Interesting to see how he fares.
Landed York 1m4f handicap last year off 82 and ran fair race when third at Beverley a few days ago over extended seven furlongs. Trip looks right and has a proper chance at these weights.
Won claimer over C&D last term on soft gropund and seller at Ripon three starts ago. Has plenty to find on these terms but likes the track and isn't without a chance if return here sparks a revival after two modest runs in handicaps of late.
Two poor runs of late in handicaps at up to a mile having gone close previously in 7f Lingfield claimer. Fair chance on best of old form if he stays but has a point to prove.
Low rated 14-race maiden who appears up against it on these term on all known form. Very hard to see him getting involved at the business end of the contest.
Yet to reach a place in nine starts despite hinting there might be a little ability there. Not favoured by terms of this contest and will do well to make his presence felt.

Forecasts
Jacbequick (5/4), God Willing (9/4), Chant (11/2), Fieldsman (7/1), Cricklewood Green (12/1), Metronomic (14/1), Golden Guide (33/1), Siyahamba (50/1)
Assuming JACBEQUICK has recovered from his recent run at Beverley where he was a decent third, he should be good enough to edge this contest for generally disappointing horses . Chant could be a big threat with his yard in form, although he usually needs a run or two to hit his peak, and both Fieldsman and God Willing are not out of it if staging a revival. Previous C&D winner Metronomic has it to do at the weights but a bold show is by no means out of the qustion.
