Wore a visor (retained since) for the first time when winning a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen (2m7f, good) last month. Early casualty back in handicap subsequently and is stepping up in distance here.
Wore cheekpieces (retained) for the first time when finishing third on debut for this yard at Uttoxeter (good) last time out. Tongue tie applied stepping up in trip.
AW winner over an extended 2m at Wolverhampton on his penultimate outing. Good fourth on return to hurdles over C&D last time out and likely to run his race once more.
Finished runner-up twice in handicaps prior to pulling up when stepped up to 3m2f at Fontwell (good) last month. Stamina to prove.
Ran well to finish 9L second to an impressive winner at Fontwell (3m2f, good) on his penultimate outing. Good third over this C&D subsequently and is an interesting runner in this contest.
Struggled in the main when tackling point-to-points last season and beaten 55L on his return to Rules three weeks ago. Others make more appeal.
Returning from a break when finishing 3L fifth over an extended 3m2f at Stratford (good) in April. Interesting to see how she fares on her first outing in three months.
Improved on two previous efforts this season when finishing fourth over an extended 2m5f at Fontwell (good) last month. Market support would be interesting stepping up in distance.
Best effort since joining this yard came when finishing third over an extended 2m4f at Market Rasen (good) last time out. Visor worn for the first time that day is retained.
Forecasts
Jennys Day (3/1), Chato (4/1), The Black Squirrel (11/2), Tea Time Fred (6/1), Lake Shore Drive (6/1), Lincoln County (7/1), Mamoo (9/1), Mythical Legend (14/1), Billy Two Tongues (50/1)
The step up in trip looks likely to suit CHATO and he can record a first victory over hurdles in the concluding staying handicap contest. The application of a tongue tie should benefit David Pipe's charge and he can get the better of Tea Time Fred, placed in a similar race here last time out while Lake Shore Drive can take third having run well over C&D last time out.
- Chato
- Tea Time Fred
