Fair form in two starts since returning from a break including when beaten 12½L over 2m7f at Worcester (good) last time out. Drop in trip shouldn't inconvenience too much.
Good third on seasonal debut at Bangor (good) in May but finished well beaten in similar conditions at Southwell subsequently. More needed here.
Rated 3lb lower than for his most recent success and ran well to finish 14L third over C&D last time out. Worth a check in the market.
Finished runner-up the last twice including over an extended 2m6f at Stratford (good-to-firm) a month ago. Has won over C&D in the past and is one for the shortlist once more.
Bidding to complete a hat-trick following wins at Market Rasen (good) and last time out at Ffos Las (good). Races off a mark 4lb higher than for that Ffos Las victory and likely to run well once more.
Placed on each of her last three starts including over an extended 2m4f at Southwell (good) at the start of last month. Interesting on her return from a short break.
Successful over 2m4f at Worcester (good) last August but well held in two starts since joining this yard and others make more appeal.
Nine race maiden recorded his best effort so far when finishing 7L second at Fakenham (2m5f, good) in May. Disappointed on his first outing since subsequent wind surgery.
Improving with racing this term and finished 2½L third over 2m4f at Worcester (good) when last in action earlier this month. Of interest despite a 2lb rise in the weights.
In good form in point-to-point company in the spring winning twice in that sphere. Fair fourth beaten 10L on return to Rules race over an extended 2m here recently and step up in trip is in his favour.
Good effort in finishing 5L fourth at Fontwell (good) on her penultimate outing. In the process of running well when coming down subsequently and interesting despite despite racing from out of the weights.
Forecasts
Top Chief (7/2), As You Like (4/1), Fear Glic (5/1), Caviar D'Allen (7/1), Barton Rose (8/1), Kalifourchon (8/1), Foundation Man (10/1), Eastern Lady (14/1), Highbury High (16/1), A Montmartre (16/1), Romeo Is Bleeding (50/1)
The veteran FEAR GLIC has been running well in defeat in recent times and he can register a fifth Rules victory by taking this competitive looking handicap chase. Has a promising conditional on board once more and he looks capable of defeating the hat-trick seeking As You Like who last ran a month ago. Third can go to Eastern Lady who remains open to improvement and receives weight all round.
- Fear Glic
