Been in good form on the flat this year winning back-to-back races at Newcastle. Still a maiden over hurdles despite some fair efforts and has sound claims of going close on in here.

Hood that was present for first two runs in bumpers was discarded ahead of hurdles debut here back in December. Beaten a long way that day and would need a huge step forward on that to be competitive on the back of a break.

Been running consistently well in handicaps of late and has no fitness issues whatsoever. Closely matched with a couple of these on ability and commands plenty of respect.

Been largely out of form under both codes this year. Cheekpieces were added on the flat last time but are quickly discarded here. Lots to find with a few of these and up against it.

Forecasts

Stole The Show (5/6), Bal De Rio (1/1), Holryale (5/2), Tiger Twenty Two (25/1), Ciboir (100/1)

Verdict

An interesting little novice event with Holryale, Stole The Show and BAL DE RIO all very closely matched on what we have seen over hurdles so far. Slight preference is for the last-named who comes here race fit from the flat and still has plenty of potential to improve over hurdles.
  1. Bal De Rio
  2. Holryale
  3. Stole The Show
