Raced in a better grade of late but hasn't enjoyed much success this season. However, this is his time of year and, with ground conditions expected to suit, the gelding would be dangerous to rule too quickly despite giving weight away all round.
Holding his form well just now and still potentially well treated on the pick of his form. Never yet won over the minimum trip but has speed to burn and feasible he'll be hard to catch if allowed a soft lead. Shortlisted.
Five furlongs is ideal and, as a multiple winner on a variety of going descriptions, the 10-yeard-old has nothing to fear from the ground. Recent form has taken a dip but has won off higher marks in the past, so very dangerous to underestimate.
Infrequent winner and has a bit to find with Move In Time on a literal reading of their encounter at York last season. Also needs to bounce back after a handful of below-par efforts this season.
Held his form since winning at Chester last September but not been quite so effective on more conventional courses. Has been placed here in the past so, cannot be discounted even though he's currently 7lb higher than his last winning mark.
Winner at Doncaster in April (5f, soft) but has been out of sorts on faster ground twice since. A career best effort is now required if the gelding is going to bounce back.
Forecasts
Watchable (9/4), Move In Time (3/1), Powerallied (4/1), Dakota Gold (9/2), Sheepscar Lad (8/1), Robot Boy (16/1)
This is likely to be run at a fair clip with Watchable being a prime candidate for setting a strong tempo; a scenario which can play to the strengths of MOVE IN TIME, whose consistency is commendable and helps him edge a narrow vote as the one to be on. The gelding represents a yard that has an excellent strike-rate in this particular race (won four of the last 10 renewals) and he's much better than he's shown in his last two outings. Dakota Gold is eased in grade and would be dangerous to overlook now that conditions are in his favour, while Powerallied has gone well here in the past and also appeals as one to bear in mind.
- Move In Time
- Watchable
- Dakota Gold
