Back to winning ways at Kempton in April, but went up 4lb and was out of the frame in three subsequent starts over longer trips. Down 1lb, but still looks vulnerable despite return to 7f.

Winner of one of his three novice/maiden contests., latterly after a lengthy break. Has to be of interest on first start in a handicap for respected connections.

Knocking on the door off around this mark over 1m this season. Rare run over 7f and it is not guaranteed to suit.

In good form last year, but has not hit those heights this season. Ran respectably over 1m at this venue last month, however, and is not out of it dropped to 7f off 2lb lower.

Has been running creditably recently without threatening to get his head in front. Handicap mark continues to fall, but it's an awful long time since his last victory.

Right back to her best when just denied at Doncaster last time. Up 2lb, but has to be considered with that display under her belt.

Back-to-back wins over this distance on the AW in the spring. Has not proved as effective on turf so far, but she is on a fair mark at present.

Five starts since joining current stable from Dermot Weld, but has failed to hit the frame in any of them. Handicapper has relented, but he needs to find extra.

Lengthy losing spell, but ran better in a first-time visor at Wolverhampton last time. Surprising to see the headgear dispensed with.

Good third at Doncaster in April, but has not really kicked on from that. Now 4lb lower than for last win so not out of it if returning to form.

Couple of wins this year, but last three displays have been disappointing. Won off this mark at Chelmsford in March, so has prospects if returning to form.

Glenn Coco (7/2), Himself (9/2), Zafaranah (9/2), Golden Slam (6/1), King of Dreams (8/1), Fieldsman (9/1), Honey Badger (12/1), Araqeel (14/1), Sonnet Rose (14/1), Fashaak (14/1), Seyasah (20/1), Plucky Dip (33/1), Malaysian Boleh (40/1)

Verdict

A tricky finale in which several contenders can run off lenient marks but need to return to form, a remark which applies to the likes of Honey Badger, Araqeel, Sonnet Rose and Glenn Coco. Seyasah is interesting in first-time cheekpieces, but the choice is GOLDEN SLAM, who makes his handicap bow, has fewer questions to answer than most and is taken to beat Zafaranah, who ran a fine race at Doncaster last time.
  1. Golden Slam
  2. Zafaranah
  3. Seyasah
