Went close to causing a 201- surprise at Ripon two starts ago but couldn't follow that up at Nottingham last time, never getting in the contest, and now tries a step up in trip. No guarantees that will suit and others make more appeal.
Stepped up in trip at Beverley to good effect last time out, staying on very strongly late to capture the prize and although hit with a 9lb rise for that, which looks plenty, it was a decisive win and there should be more to come.
Definite signs of ability of first two starts last year, both on the Fibresand at Southwell, when hitting the frame twice and although well fancied for his handicap debut at Beverley recently, was most disappointing. Early days, but a bit to prove.
Won with plenty in hand at Leicester last time, although it was only a claimer, but was claimed by Donald McCain (presumably with hurdles in mind) and makes debut for him here. Trip and ground ideal and obvious chance of following up.
Has run to a similar level on all four starts so far and although he managed to finish third at Yarmouth last time, he was well beaten at the finish and needs to improve. That's not impossible, but others come here with stronger claims.
Forecasts
Kannapolis (11/8), Black Lotus (3/1), Breakfast (9/2), Farhh Away (9/2), Magnetic Boundary (12/1)
Magnetic Boundary might do better if allowed to stride on in front but has a bit to prove at present, and preference is for the two recent winners in the field, Breakfast and KANNAPOLIS. The latter looked a horse to follow on his Beverley win, which looks slightly stronger form that the claimer Breakfast took at Leicester.
