Only a small field but an interesting re-match between two of the runners with LADIES FIRST and Jacob Black having met at Carlisle recently when the former had the run of the race with the latter having blown the start to the tune of 10L. There’s no difference between them at the weights today and this course may favour the Carlisle scorer once more with the stiffer nature of the track suiting her better. Servo faces a stiffer task than when winning on the AW and the main danger to the Carlisle 1-2 looks to be Alexandrakollontai although she’ll need to show more application than she did in the finish last time.
