Ran well on his debut when with Ger Lyons in Ireland over 1m (soft) showing something to work but has never really gone on from that performance. Ran below-par on firm ground on first outing for this yard; best watched.

Third foal out of an unraced dame who cost £7,500 as a yearling but wouldn't be the usual type of winner from this yard.

There was some promise in her debut outing over 6f here and she looked an obvious candidate to progress on her second start but did nothing of the sort (took a strong hold). Could well bounce back over this longer trip for an in-form yard.

Judged on the evidence of her two runs so far she looks very limited and she fared no better on her second run than she did on her debut. Big surprise if she can get involved in this contest.

Too green and unsuited by the undulations of Brighton on her debut the next two runs have been much better producing her best form last time over 1m2f at Lingfield. Back in trip connections resist handicaps to take her chance here; major chance.

Verdict

Hardly a race that sets the pulse racing and there isn’t much depth to it either and it may pay to take a chance on a newcomer in BILLY RUSKIN who has a nice pedigree that contains winners and the yard are hardly strangers to debut winners. Warmhearted already has a handicap mark and has shown progress throughout her short career but this drop to 1m nay not suit. Agadeer will need to get back to her debut form and settle better to get involved especially over this longer trip. None of the others make much appeal.
  1. Billy Ruskin
  2. Warmhearted
  3. Agadeer
