Two starts so far have not amounted to much and looks the type that will benefit from a switch to handicaps on the back of this. Similar effort expected.
Better effort to date when runner-up in 6f minor event at Ripon last time, still looking green (collided with rail having reared on debut). Further progress should be forthcoming, and could be useful when ironing out the kinks.
Knew his job on debut when finishing second at Ayr. Didn't improve on that at Musselburgh next time but still early days and more than capable of showing the required improvement to win this.
Cost €60,000 at Arqana May Breeze-Ups. 16/1 and looked in need of the experience at debut at Nottingham (6f, firm) last month. Should know more this time and likely to do better in time.
Kuroshio colt, cost 15,000 gns as a foal, £15,000 as a yearling and £24,000 as a Breeze-up purchase. 40/1 for debut at Goodwood and looked in need of the experience. Flashed tail under pressure there and will need to have improved bundles here.
Son of Slade Power and out of a family that connections know well. Cost €60,000 as a yearling and likely to know his job on debut. Interesting newcomer and market check very much needed.
20/1, awkward at times and very green on debut. Will need to have come on quite a bit for that experience to take a hand here but early days and improvement is expected.
Sea The Moon colt that cost 22,000 gns as a yearling. Related to several winners and dam was placed at Listed level. Needs a market check on debut.
Forecasts
Eyelool (11/8), Spirit Warning (5/2), Light Heart (7/2), The Great Story (12/1), Curfewed (14/1), Manguzi (16/1), Slade King (20/1), Misty Boy (66/1)
Of those with experience there should be more to come from both Light Heart and especially Eyelool. This could possibly go the way of a newcomer though and SLADE KING makes plenty of appeal on paper. He comes from a family connections know well and he can make a winning start.
