Sported a first-time tongue strap (retained) when producing a career-best in winning 14-runner handicap hurdle at Bellewstown (2m4f, good) recently under this rider, claims again.
Listed winner over timber in France, post two promising efforts for new trainer at Leopardstown in December/February fences, much-respected back in this sphere off a break.
Has blown away the cobwebs on two starts for this yard at Down Royal and Punchestown already, needs to find a bit extra but wouldn't want to rule that out under the Davy Russell.
Third at Kilbeggan last time, perhaps being found out over the shorter trip, extra emphasis on stamina here should suit and is a player for the champion trainer.
Finished second in this race two years ago, not enjoyed the best of times since with injury but does have the benefit of a recent run coming here.
Won this race last year (1-13 over hurdles) and only run three time since, best of these being eight days ago at Roscommon (3m, good) when second home. Rated 10lb higher this year but Geraghty a positive booking.
Failed to complete on each of his last four outings over fences/hurdles. Off since December and looks one to swerve unless the betting suggests different.
Nothing of any note in four hurdle/chase starts since March. Out of sorts recently and this looks a tough ask after poor effort at Roscommon last month over larger obstacles.
Has won here before and finished close second at Roscommon (3m, good) when last spotted. Trainer/jockey combined to win this last year with Dawn Raider, who looks the more likely of two from the yard now.
