Course winner (placed four times over C&D) who isn't that easy to predict and drops down to this level after running in low-grade handicaps. Plenty to do at the weights and others carry a greater win threat.
Stable are fresh from a Beverley 5f double on Tuesday; this one bounced back to her best over C&D in June when awarded a handicap after suffering interference. Failed to repeat that effort last time now dropped in grade. Engaged Thirsk 6.40 Tuesday.
Course winner over 7f last September when she took advantage of a mark that was much reduced from her best. Inconsistent this year and already beaten in a seller she drops back in this grade in a bid to find some form.
An overall record of 2-58 hardly sets the pulse racing and it's now 21 starts since he last troubled the judge. Ran a respectable race in handicap company last time out (seasonal best) but not really of interest dropped in grade.
Been around the block but is basically only capable of showing poor form and has only beaten seven rivals home this year in six starts. Faces an uphill task at the weights even in a race as poor as this.
C&D winner (twice a course winner) who faces a tough task at these weights although he did appear to take a step back towards some sort of form last time. Usually likes to make the running but a wide draw makes life difficult in that respect.

Forecasts
Mishaal (5/4), Kraka (7/4), Someone Exciting (15/8), Semana Santa (4/1), Nifty Niece (9/1), Deben (12/1), Lackaday (16/1), A J Cook (33/1), King Of Castilla (125/1)
Three of this field are engaged in a similar contest at Thirsk on Tuesday evening and that makes the analysis more complicated and it remains to be seen if any of them run with Kraka being a leading candidate if he does run again. Of the remaining protagonists MISHAAL dropping down to this level having won handicaps at a better level in the past makes the most appeal. Lackaday who goes reasonably well here and Someone Exciting appeal the most of the others in an event that could yet see a reduced amount of runners.
- Mishaal
