Has generally struggled since joining current yard from France, but has dropped down the weights and tries his luck at a longer distance in a weak race. Stable in good form.
Only career win came at Wetherby in May, last year. Seems suited by a stamina test like this, runs off a fair mark and a tongue tie is fitted for the first time.
Only win in 16 starts came over an extended mile at Beverley last year. Ran a fair race over 1m4f at Doncaster last time, but has something to prove at this longer trip.
Three wins from 38 starts, and has been out of sorts this season. Has proved he stays this trip, however, which gives him an advantage over one of two of his rivals.
Forecasts
Dalshand (15/8), Cray (9/4), Saved By The Bell (3/1), Mont Royal (6/1), Adrakhan (25/1)
A weak staying handicap in which a case can be made for bottom-weight Adrakhan despite his lack of form this season. Cray may improve for the fitting of a tongue tie, but DALSHAND appeals as the most likely winner having dropped down the weights and tackling this longer trip. Saved By The Bell and Mont Royal make only limited appeal.
