Twice a winner earlier in the year on the AW over 6f he's not been quite as good on turf in his last two starts. Never landed a blow over 5f last time and although he looks the type to bounce back quickly this trip does look a little sharp.
Reaching the veteran stage now but has managed to win twice this year with his latest win coming at Hamilton in June. Better than the distance he was beaten last time when not getting the run of the race; well drawn.
C&D winner who has now gone 18 runs since his last win and very slow away last time out which scuppered any chance that he had. He's slipped way below his last winning mark if he could be trusted to make use of the reduced rating.
Another C&D winner who is on a long losing run and continues to fall in the weights without really looking as though he's going to take advantage. Dropped in grade with a 10lb claimer on board last time and still failed to make an impact.
Showed some fair form a juvenile for her two previous trainers but has only shown the odd glimmer of that form this year for current connections. Finished well held last time and doubts as to whether she has really trained on.
This yard have done extremely well with their new recruits this year and there was enough in this one's first run for 8 months to make him of interest. Not persevered with once he was held he's worth another chance given the circumstances.
Type that this yard do well with and the rejuvenation looked to take another step forward last time with a third at Hamilton (Imperial Legend behind). Not certain to build on this but given his previous form he ought to be able to compete here.
Only operates at a basement level these days and not the most consistent either failing to follow-up a creditable run last time out. Not particularly well drawn here and others have more solid and consistent profiles.

Forecasts
Highly Focussed (5/2), Foxy Boy (5/2), Imperial Legend (6/1), Kibaar (6/1), Funkadelic (6/1), Sir Domino (7/1), Compton River (9/1), Lina's Star (33/1), On The High Tops (50/1)
There are some interesting types in this although it’s not an event for the feint-hearted with several looking to overcome long losing runs despite having tumbled down the handicap. Kibaar would come into that category and but for a wide draw would be more appealing and even though Imperial Legend finished behind him last time that form could be revered here. Funkadelic is only of only two three-year-olds in this but he’s not far away from winning something like this. SIR DOMINO comes from a yard going well though and he’s worth a chance to build on a run last time which while it wasn’t eye-catching did promise more than he showed.
- Sir Domino
- Imperial Legend
- Kibaar
