No win since 2016 and yet to really hit stride since joining this yard, two most recent efforts have however been more encouraging and starting to appeal as being well-handicapped.
C&D winner in October and scored again on reappearance at Haydock in April, both on soft ground. Fair run latest at Carlisle (1m, good), would likely relish any ease in going.
Experienced performer, scored over a mile on the AW at Newcastle in January but has struggled since then. Better effort over 1m2f here last time and is a four-time course winner in the past.
Turf winner on debut at Leicester in 2015 over 6f, though hasn't added to tally in 15 starts on this surface since. Runner-up in four-runner C&D contest last weekend, can be competitive again.
Winner last month at Thirsk and performed well in two starts since then. Blinkers have seemingly perked ideas up and should be there or thereabouts once again.
Confirmed suspicion he had dropped to a winnable mark by scoring over 7f here eight days ago with all the way effort. Carries a penalty but can remain competitive.
Winner of four races at up to 1m but most recent success came in September 2016. Finished third of 11 in handicap at Hamilton over extended-mile (good to firm) two days ago, no certainty to turn up in the same mood now.
Took advantage of a drop in the weights and had the run of the race when scoring at Redcar in May, making all. Comfortably held in both starts since however.

Racemaker (3/1), Smugglers Creek (4/1), Sultan Baybars (5/1), Mustaqbal (11/2), War Department (13/2), Testa Rossa (9/1), La Sioux (11/1), Pumaflor (16/1), Pudding Chare (16/1)
The new headgear has got RACEMAKER fancying the job again, with a win at Thirsk last month and two solid efforts since. He just about appeals as the likeliest in this field, where a few have their quirks. Pumaflor ran well at Hamilton over the weekend, though isn't certain to repeat the trick, while La Sioux has been held in two starts since a shock win at Redcar in May. War Department went well over C&D last week and should give his running while the penalised Smugglers Creek can go well after a recent win here over 7f and Sultan Baybars is now seemingly on a workable mark.
