Novice hurdle winner at Fontwell (good) last September on his most recent hurdles start. Victorious on the Flat in May following a break and a fair effort when fourth in that sphere a week later. Interesting on handicap debut.

Forecasts

Red Tornado (11/10), Melody Of Scotland (2/1), Jackblack (7/1), Level Of Intensity (10/1), Regulation (16/1), Royal Irish Hussar (25/1)

Verdict

RED TORNADO looks to hold strong claims in this competitive handicap hurdle and he can improve on trainer Dan Skelton's 45% strike-rate (10/22) in recent weeks. The selection ran well to place in a highly competitive contest last time and he can get the better of the sole filly in the lineup Melody Of Scotland who is making just her second start since joining this yard from France. Jackblack, a dual novice hurdle winner last autumn and in good form on the Flat in the spring can finish third.
