Ran up a hat-trick over hurdles last year taking advantage of a reduced mark before the handicapper caught up with him again. More and more looks to have lost his way since then a recent run and a return to headgear failing to find some zip in him.

Twice a C&D winner he is at his best on a sound surface and in this grade; a 0-110 being the scene of his last win off a 3lb lower mark. Tried in higher grades since he's struggled for the most part despite running with credit; back to form last time

Taken a while to get going for this yard but a second run in handicaps over C&D (first-time hood) hinted at better to come. That duly arrived when she took advantage of a career-low mark to score at Hexham (2m) cutting down the leader close home.

Some fair form at best over hurdles but that sort of form is really a distant memory and his three runs returning from a break have been sub-standard. Fared a little better last time but never really managed to launch a threat of a falling mark.

Verdict

Some disappointing types in this considering that there is plenty of course form on display. Last year’s winner Green Zone is a four-time course winner but even off a 10lb lower mark here if you take his recent form into account it takes a leap of faith to support him. Likewise Prince Khurram who looks to have lost his way and this looks better left to an in-form pair in the shape of Wot A Shot and SENSE OF URGENCY. The former will appreciate this drop in grade having scored in a similar grade before but it’s the latter who makes most appeal off just 4lb higher for her Hexham win. King Muro lurks on a reduced mark if he can find some of his old form.
