Returns to a course where he's a three-time winner having disappointed here last time in a race he had won before over hurdles. Winner of this race last year off a 1lb higher mark he came into that race on the back of a win - not so this time around.
Completed a chase/hurdle hat-trick earlier in the year at Musselburgh that sharp track suits his strong travelling style. Looked to have reached the zenith of his handicap mark before bouncing back to win off a career-high mark over C&D last time.
Quirky sort who is capable of some good form but is hard to trust and having shown that he could still produce a good display on his return promptly reverted to his lesser self. Looked very half-hearted when last seen and can run in snatches.
Front -runner who failed to show his best when only 4th here last time out over 3m having looked to be edging his way back to form for this yard. Back to his last winning mark and can't be written off especially if gaining an easy lead.
Rare chasing runner from this major Flat yard who has in the past been a useful performer over obstacles (now operating off a much lower mark). Runner-up on his last two starts he's lurking off a competitive mark if he copes with this shorter trip.
Not really looking to be in the same form now as he was around this time last year when he won four chases on the bounce all at this trip having just joined this yard. Pulled-up when last seen he needs to come back to form in a slightly higher grade.
Failed to complete in half of his six runs for this yard and pulled-up quickly last time after a horrendous blunder at the first. This grade looks too tough for him and he has to run from 11lb out of the handicap and would need others to falter.
