Useful hurdler/chaser on his day that had a spin in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot last month. Capable off this mark with young rider claiming a valuable 10lb. Previous C&D winner is a leading player here.
Very lightly raced in 2017 with only 5 starts. They included a facile success over this C&D off a 2lb lower mark. Returns here from an eight month break but decent ground suits and has every chance of being in the shake-up.
Had some pretty tough tasks earlier in the year and his mark is not starting to fall. Has won over a trip this far in the past but it maybe beyond his optimum. Remains a danger down in class 2 though and very much respected.
Won a three runner contest here over C&D back in May. Showed his well being by winning again at Perth three weeks ago. Makes handicap chase debut today off a realistic mark and further progress is possible.
Not seen since being beaten a long way at Catterick back in February. This trip tends to stretch his stamina and he may well need this run to be cherry ripe.
No match for a back to form rival at Perth last time. Dropped 1lb but goes into a better race here and whilst he is capable of going well, he could fin one or two of these a bit too sharp.
Quite By Chance is slipping to a dangerous looking mark and this is probably the easiest task he has faced for some time. Southfield Vic would be a big danger to all if he is fit and ready to go on the back of his break. Slight preference is for TEMPESTATEFLORESCO who likes it round here and with his young riders 10lb claim he has sound claims of recording another victory.
