Looked in need of the run on return to action over C&D in May. Starting to look attractively handicapped now and should be fitter this time around. Player.
Shaped well on all three starts over fences so far. Switches back to hurdles today off an 8lb higher mark than for his last win. Rider claims a valuable 10lb which makes him of interest.
Having won over this trip on soft ground at Worcester two starts back he couldn't follow up over 3m at Perth next time. No surprise to see him drop back in trip here but needs to stay in touch early.
Bolted up on handicap debut over hurdles at Fontwell (2m1½f, good to firm) back in August off a 3lb lower mark. Not anywhere near as good at Stratford on return to hurdling last month and tongue-tie is now added.
Won at Warwick (2m3f, good to soft) in April and ran just as well when third at Uttoxeter last time. Nudged up another 3lb but in good nick and respected once again.
Step up in trip suited at Fontwell last time when finishing second off a 3lb lower mark. This extra furlong could suit again and remains open to plenty of improvement.
Everything has clicked the last twice and followed up his win at Bangor by winning again at Worcester over this trip last month . Nudged up another 2lb but every chance of another bold showing.
Likes these conditions and mark is fine but hasn't been seen for well over a year. Clearly had one or two issues and cheekpieces go on today. Market should give us a good guide to expectations.
Not in the best of form at present and needs to bounce back to be considered. More than capable of this sort of mark though so market support should be noted.
Found the 8lb rise in the weights for winning all too much at Bangor last time when a blunder three out didn't help. Still early days and there should be more improvement to come.
Jumping has been a bit of an issue on his last two starts over fences. Reverts to hurdles today and the cheekpieces go on. Capable off this mark and interesting.
Winner of a weaker contest than this at Ludlow three starts back off a 4lb lower mark. Struggled in this grade last time and a similar story on the cards here.
Showed much improved form when running away with a handicap at Worcester over this trip last week. Gets to race of the same mark here and should be tough to beat if in the same mood.
Forecasts
Court Duty (5/4), Voodoo Doll (6/1), Burst Ya Bubble (6/1), Starcrossed (7/1), Chelsea Flyer (8/1), Equus Millar (10/1), Coeur Tantre (11/1), Dr Robin (14/1), Deserter (14/1), Novis Adventus (25/1), Hidden Cargo (25/1), Ayla's Emperor (25/1), Lord Ballim (28/1)
COURT DUTY bolted up off today's mark at Worcester last week and will be very tough to beat if in the same mood today. Voodoo Doll has won his last two and is not easily passed over and will be a big danger. Hidden Cargo reverts back to hurdles and will be a danger to all if on a going day.
- Court Duty
- Hidden Cargo
- Voodoo Doll
