Finished last of seven on his first start for this yard on the flat two weeks ago. That should have blown away any cobwebs and he is starting to look well handicapped in this sphere if he can bounce back to his best.
Dropping down the weights and often well backed. Disappointing on the back of wind surgery last time but could show the benefit of that now and dangerous to dismiss having not been with this yard all that long.
Went close at Worcester on soft ground back in May but disappointed on a quicker surface at Market Rasen last time. Needs to bounce back and does have bits and pieces of form on this surface.
Had a spin over hurdles here most recently over a trip on the short side. That should have put him cherry ripe and this dual C&D winner is a big player back over the larger obstacles.
Very capable veteran who has come right down the weights. Never travelling at Cartmel last time having been well backed. Needs to do much more but dangerous on a going day.
A 25/1 winner on his rules debut at Cheltenham in early May (3m1f+ good, Hunters' Chase). Pulled up on debut for this yard at Aintree last month. Paddy Brennan up today and still has potential to do better.
4-15 over fences, winning all of those in his previous spell for this trainer, for whom he resumes today after a spell between the flags. Trip/ground no problem, but his mark looks stiff enough at present.
Won a handicap in first-time blinkers back in September off this mark. Not shown a great deal since and needs a short return to form. Only be of interest if the market screams his name.
Has returned to rules action in rude health following up a victory as Chepstow with a facile success at Stratford last month. Slapped with a 13lb rise for that but value for every ounce and the hat-trick is very much on the cards.
Another in rude health at present having won a handicap hurdle and chase on his last two starts. Raised another 7lbs which makes life tougher but there could be more to come.

Forecasts
Fifty Shades (5/4), Lotus Pond (9/4), Amore Alato (5/1), More Buck's (5/1), Super Scorpion (6/1), Knockaderry Flyer (16/1), Lamb Or Cod (20/1), Marquis Of Carabas (22/1), Kinari (25/1), Cernunnos (33/1), Shelford (40/1)
The three last time out winners all have every strong claims in what should be a cracking race. More Buck's improved for the switch to this yard when winning easily at Perth last time and has sound claims once again. Fifty Shades has won his last two and is another with a cracking chance. Slight preference is for LOTUS POND who has seemingly improved no-end the last twice and can complete the hat-trick.
- Lotus Pond
- Fifty Shades
