Filly showed improved form to win at Down Royal in May (2m, good), raised 6lb and a little disappointing back there in sole outing since. Not dismissed.

Beaten out of sight in three starts over timber thus far, leap of faith needed to see him playing a key role in this now switching attention to handicaps.

Consistent performer, finished a good second at Roscommon (2m, good) last month and entitled to throw hat in the ring once more.

4/1
Improved to win at Clonmel last month over similar trip on seventh outing over timber and fair effort from increased mark since at Gowran Park (2m, good). Likely to be in there pitching.

Dia Del Solt23
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-3| J: B J Cooper| T: P Nolan| OR:  98
20/1
Lightly-raced maiden over timber, will have to find significant improvement on what he's shown so far, having been well fended off last time at Wexford.

Winner on that Flat, not shown much so far in three outings over timber but improved effort now sent handicapping in this sphere cannot be ruled out.

14/1
Maiden hurdle winner on good ground at Tramore in August 2016 but had just five starts since and probably best watched having finished well beaten at Clonmel in March.

Dontdooddson113
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: Phillip Enright| T: R Tyner| OR:  89
8/1
Has caught the eye on a couple of occasions, but his two runs in handicap company have been highly disappointing, including when last spotted over this C&D in March, plenty more called for.

Loose Chippingsh,t142
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-10| J: Miss M O'Sullivan(7)| T: E M O'Sullivan| OR:  91
20/1
Better effort last month at Tramore (2m, good) in fourth start over timber despite going off 100/1 in a maiden. Switched to handicaps now and could take a step forward.

Horse silk
Vocal Heir725
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-10| J: John J Fitzpatrick(7)| T: S Hanlon| OR:  85
33/1
Modest 93-rated maiden hurdler when in the care of Brendan Duke and not seen since July 2016. May find this a tough assignment on stable debut.

Horse silk
Wild Desire20
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: D Robinson(3)| T: P Nolan| OR:  85| D
7/1
Produced a career-best when winning 17-runner handicap hurdle at Gowran (2m, good) last month. Was all out at the line to hang on, gone up 5lb for the score.
12
Horse silk
Petite Ginah1,t20
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-9| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: C O'Keeffe| OR:  90
10/1
Appears to have had plenty of chances to get off the mark only to disappoint connections. First time hood unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement here.
13
Horse silk
Ticaticateeh,t130
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-9| J: K J Brouder(7)| T: T Cooper| OR:  84
16/1
Stowaway mare who dam was a fairly modest winning hurdler. Tailed off on all three starts so far and very difficult to make a case for anything better here despite switch to handicaps and fitting of a tongue-tie.
14
Horse silk
Shedding20
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-7| J: J J Slevin| T: W J Burke| OR:  88
33/1
Makes little appeal on pedigree and he has showed no worthwhile form in his three maiden hurdle starts before pulling-up on handicap debut in a Gowran Park hurdle last month.
15
Horse silk
Ardview Boy7
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-6| J: Jack Kennedy| T: J J Lambe| OR:  81
12/1
Remains a maiden after 21 attempts under rules, well held recently at Wexford and likely the famine goes on again.
16
Horse silk
Boston Oscarp49
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-5| J: J S McGarvey| T: D J Barry| OR:  80
20/1
Didn't show a great deal in maiden hurdles but a bit more promise in a couple of runs in handicaps, though still left with plenty to work on for now.

Forecasts

Slainte And Thanks (4/1), I'm Serious (9/2), Wild Desire (7/1), Ejayteekay (8/1), Dontdooddson (8/1), Jessamine (8/1), Petite Gina (10/1), Ardview Boy (12/1), Desertmore Dreamer (14/1), Ticaticatee (16/1), Dia Del Sol (20/1), Captain Cobajay (20/1), Loose Chippings (20/1), Boston Oscar (20/1), Vocal Heir (33/1), Shedding (33/1)

Verdict

EJAYTEEKAY produced a good effort to win for the first time over timber at Down Royal in May and had legitimate excuses back there in one run since having been short of room at a crucial stage. He can bounce back. I'm Serious has knocked on the door multiple times of late and wouldn't be winning out of turn while the likes of Slainte And Thanks and Wild Desire can also be given some claims.
  1. Ejayteekay
  2. I'm Serious
  3. Wild Desire
