- Barrier Trials At Lingfield Park Handicap (Class 5)
- 1m 3f 133y, Good to Firm (Good down the hill)
- 5 Runners
- Surface: Turf
Formerly with Kevin Ryan he's shown very little in two starts for his new connections (looked rather unwilling last time out). Now stepped up 3f in trip on a much quicker surface dropped in grade with a hood on for the first-time; others preferred.
Yet to really fire this season and even tried in a visor the last twice he a long way below the form he showed when winning by 5L at Brighton last year. That win came over a similar trip off a 3lb higher mark; well weighted if striking form.
Consistent enough but failing to really progress with racing despite the addition of cheekpieces for his last two starts. Made his handicap debut here last time over 1f shorter but his mark looks a stiff one even now eased 3lb from his last run.
All of her winning form has come when she's ridden on/near the front and may get her own way here. Can throw in the odd poor run though along with a weak finish but this is easier than her last start; trip should suit.
Hardly a surprise to see one from this yard improve for an increased trip/handicap debut although she took a little while to find her stride over C&D. Only upped 2lb for that run she's surely going to find a contest like this soon.
