His last three victories have come from marks of 74-75. Yet to win in this grade and he probably has too many hurdles to overcome
Has been on an upward trajectory since December and now needs to produce yet another career best. Has a good AW record and hard to dismiss in current form.
3-5 in this grade and placed twice in two previous visits here. Made all to score at Beverley but needs to bounce back from a poor show last time.
Pretty consistent performer but usually races over further and current mark also asks a few searching questions of him.
Without a win since December 2014. Went close here in September but has not repeated that effort since despite wind surgery and varied headgear.
Unbeaten in two previous starts over C&D including a defeat of the subsequent Victoria Cup winner Rip Orf in January. 4lb higher this time and two recent turf performance reaffirm he is better on this surface.
Sole success came virtue of a banned substance and a demoted winner. Current mark seems up with events and run may be needed.
Scored a year ago and drops below that mark for the first time since. Admittedly in poor form and her two victories have come at Leicester.
Now 3-6 around here and used a good draw to take the inside route to score over C&D a month ago. Beaten on turf since but sure to be happier here.
Looks favourably treated judged on his penultimate start. Although well held since that was in better company over further. Up and coming claimer on board so looks sure to have his supporters again.
Came out on top at Wolverhampton in May but this much stronger company and others preferred on this occasion.
Forecasts
El Principe (3/1), Treacherous (9/2), Compass Hill (9/2), King of Nepal (13/2), Kingston Kurrajong (8/1), Majboor (10/1), Pride Of Angels (12/1), Nezar (16/1), Sir Roderic (16/1), Secondo (16/1), Cheerfilly (50/1)
Pride Of Angels and Treacherous have both been in good form of late. Although, they have continued to defy the handicapper this looks a sterner test and particularly as SIR RODERIC is slipping down the weights. Rod Millman's charge was ultimately out of his depth when supported for a class 3 event last time, but his two most recent efforts here give him an excellent chance in this company and a highly-rated young rider has been engaged to ride.
- Sir Roderic
- Treacherous
- Pride Of Angels
