Dual AW winner who was flying too high in the Lingfield Derby Trial on his latest start. Handicap company is more realistic, but he has to prove he is fully effective on turf.
Plenty of promise in qualifying runs, and duly improved when winning 1½m handicap at Thirsk last month. Defied a penalty in minor event at Pontefract next time, and respected despite a 10lb hike in her mark.
Improved on earlier efforts when winning 10-runner handicap at Haydock last time over 1¼m. All out to score there, but placed horses have both won since, and he remains on a workable mark.
Improved markedly for switch to handicaps at around this trip, winning at Doncaster in April and beaten narrowly by Desert Path over C&D last month. Creeping up the handicap, but should continue to give a good account.
Had a wind op prior to running well on his reappearance over 1½m at Wolverhampton, although that was a slowly run race and he faded tamely at Chelmsford last time. Hooded now, and questions to answer.
GARDEN OASIS just held on last time, but that form looks better with the second and third successful next time, and he can follow up. Candidate brings solid C&D form to the table, and looks the best alternative, given that Bayshore Freeway has gone up sharply in the weights for a couple of wins at Thirsk and Pontefract.
