Nice winner at Ripon on second run back and not disgraced in a competitive handicaps at Sandown and York since but must improve again to land this.
Some fair runs on turf of late including third of 11 in handicap at York last time over 1m1½f, three most recent successes have come on the AW but likely to give a decent account.
No joy in the Britannia Handicap at Royal Ascot last month (29th of 30), but scored for sixth time when landing eight-runner handicap at Hamilton (1m½f, good to firm) five days ago. Carries a 6lb penalty on the back of that career-best effort.
Good second at Redcar (1m2f, good) in May but unable to repeat the trick dropped to a mile over C&D since. May bounce back here.

Forecasts
Ventura Knight (5/6), Nicholas T (5/2), Fayez (6/1), Dark Profit (8/1), Windsor Beach (17/2)
VENTURA KNIGHT is capable of defying a penalty for his win at Hamilton earlier in the week and has plenty going for him once more. Fayez has done his winning on the AW recently but can get involved back on turf while Nicholas T would have claims on his Redcar run two starts back, but was poor over this C&D since. Dark Profit is worth noting the betting on his seasonal bow.
