Two-time AW winner (7f-1m) who hasn't got much room to manoeuvre from his current handicap mark; beaten 9½L (fourth) by Mountain Angel in a competitive Ascot handicap (1m, soft) latest.
No win since his days with Richard Fahey (6f Newcastle maiden, November 2016), and offered little to work with over 6f at Windsor latest; return to the AW a plus.
C&D winner off a 5lb lower mark in May 2017 and generally runs his usual solid race on each and every AW start; close up fourth over 7f behind Treacherous (Six Strings third) at Kempton latest.
Back to 7f for the first time since his juvenile days when scoring over C&D in December, and followed up off a five month break in May; up 7lb, but this track clearly suits his front-running style (3 from 6 on the AW).
Four-time winner (including over C&D) who sits close enough to her last winning mark; had a short break since finishing a creditable 3¾L fourth of five to Yeah Baby Yeah (form solid) over C&D in May.
Landed a big prize when taking the £150,000 Tattersalls Auction Stakes at Newmarket in October 2017 (6f good), and has predictably struggled a fraction since; mark easing but untested on the AW so far.
Has a thoroughly decent AW record (3,3,1,1,3,5,3) and whilst still 5lb above her last winning mark, was beaten by just over 1L when third to Clubbable over C&D in mid-June.
Both AW wins (7f-1m) have come at Chelmsford and whilst quiet since back-to-back autumn turf wins, she showed that she was on the way back with a keeping on fourth (beaten 3+L) to Broughton's Knight over C&D latest.
Longstanding maiden until turning things around with successive 7f AW wins in March/April; better than the bare result at Salisbury latest (6f) and just 2lb above his last winning mark (for Aled Beech) at Newmarket (6f) in May.
Raced only on the AW in a ten race career which has yielded two wins (6f-7f); up 7lb for the latest, an all the way C&D success (beat Dutch Monarch by a head); faces stiff competition for the lead today.
Backed up her 7f Haydock win in a race which rather fell apart at Chepstow last month (1m), but hard to fault the way in which she took her opportunity and is by no means harshly treated with just a 2lb rise; equally effective on AW.
1m winner here in October 2017 (16/1), but hasn't reached those heights in four runs since, and whilst slowly slipping back to a more feasible mark, couldn't really be advised.

A devilishly tough finale in which Harry Beau is turned out quickly under a penalty prior to being clobbered by the handicapper for Tuesday's emphatic Chepstow win. The pace will be a strong one with a number of these horses proven front-runners including Broughton's Knight and Precious Silk. Both Coverham and Dashing Poet probably still reside on winning marks, but might find easier opportunities than this race in the weeks ahead whilst East Coast Lady is seemingly on the way back to form. However, a speculative dart is aimed at TOY THEATRE. She is versatile in terms of tactics, but has enough speed to draft in behind the early leaders and pounce.
- Toy Theatre
- East Coast Lady
- Coverham
