Gregorian colt, cost €46,000 as a yearling. Dam a sprint winner. Best effort from three so far came over C&D in middle start when ½L second on good to firm. Chance on that run.
Fourth and beaten approximately 2½L on debut over C&D last month, since built on that to be second at Ripon, leading claims back here on third outing. One of three for the yard.
Helmet filly. Fourth foal and is a half-sister to winners at various trips. Dam was unraced but was also related to some smart sorts. Runner-up in last month's debut at Catterick and should go well again.
€21,000 yearling. Closely related to 6f-1m AW winner King Bertie and half-sister to winners Hyperfocus (5f-6f, inc at two) and Ingleby Spring (7f-1m3f). Weakened out of thing on debut at Ripon recently, should know more.
Forecasts
Eljayeff (13/8), Amazing Alba (7/4), Aloysius Lilius (4/1), Cognac Blue (7/1), Thierry (25/1), Macho Lady (33/1)
There was a lot to like about the debut second of AMAZING ALBA at Catterick last month, normal improvement should see her hard to beat now. Richard Fahey has a strong hand, with three runners, and Paul Hanagan's presence on newcomer Cognac Blue could be notable, though Eljayeff has already shown promise here and at Ripon.
