4/1
C&D winner and plenty to like about the geldings improved performance last month in a Roscommon handicap hurdle when third of 17 beaten 11L on good ground over 2m. Not one to totally leave out of calculations.

One win in a 31-race career to date and will have disappointed connections in a couple of grim efforts since May. Place claims in this company.

Boytonrath246
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-9| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| OR:  90
14/1
11-race maiden in the hands of leading trainer and will have to raise overall performance to play a role here following her last run at Sedgefield in November.

4/1
C&D winner and only win in 20 starts came in this event last year off an 8lb lower mark. Could be of interest here to land the spoils again.

Dual point-to-point winner but disappointed on handicap debut at Thurles in February. Others hold stronger claims on her return from a break.

Brog Deas Nua13
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-3| J: J J Slevin| T: M McCabe| OR:  84
20/1
16-race maiden over hurdles but has hit the frame on four occasions. Only got as far as the fifth on seasonal debut in a Gowran Park maiden hurdle last month. Has gone well on the ground in the past and each way claims on best form.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-3| J: K J Brouder(7)| T: Ian O'Connor| OR:  84
20/1
Generally disappointing season last year was compounded by a poor return when 13th of 17 beaten 28L on seasonal bow in a Roscommon handicap hurdle last month over 2m on good ground. Form doesn't warrant support here.
8
Horse silk
Ardview Boy44
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-1| J: Sean Flanagan| T: J J Lambe| OR:  82
10/1
17-race maiden who lost his last race at the start here in May. Not unbacked on the day for stable debut and worth a market check here.
9
Horse silk
Island Villa19
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-1| J: Brian Hayes| T: P McCreery| OR:  82| D
16/1
Ran above expectations in a Tramore handicap hurdle early last month finishing second of 12 beaten ½L over 2m on good ground. That appears to be a one-off on general form and now races 26lb lower than last winning mark.

Horse silk
Call His Bluff32
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-0| J: D Robinson(3)| T: N P Hennessy| OR:  81
16/1
One decent run in eight doesn't hide the gloomy displays in between including a 39L defeat in a Listowel handicap hurdle last month. Requires a chunk of improvement to play a role here.
11
Horse silk
Joly Maker19
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-0| J: Darragh O'Keeffe(7)| T: E Bolger| OR:  87
9/2
Has looked over-whelmed in a number of maiden and handicap hurdle starts since November. Very little to be positive about unless a market move is revealed.
12
Horse silk
Approaching Tidet47
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-13| J: Mr M J Sweeney(7)| T: N P Hennessy| OR:  80
50/1
Point-to-point veteran who is without a win in eight starts under rules and difficult to make a case for on stable debut.
13

Cloneen Lady229
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-13| J: M J Bolger| T: J Beamish| OR:  80
40/1
Well held in four desolate maiden hurdle performances and not much better in a couple of handicap hurdles when last seen in November. Well out of her depth here.
14
Horse silk
Superefficient19

Generally inconsistent type who failed to build on a promising run here before a 21L defeat at Downpatrick last month. Others hold stronger profiles.

Verdict

In a race that may not take a great deal of winning it may be left to the C&D winners Mr Moondance who showed signs of a return to form last month at Roscommon and RATHNALEEN GIRL who can take advantage the 3lb she receives from her rival on her way to landing the spoils here for the second year running. Naturally Blonde, if handling the conditions and Brog Deas Nua can dispute the minor honours.
